BP East Mediterranean Retail Business Unit

In this project, which is one of the major international projects delivered by
Medyanet,
a flexible content management tool was developed and customised to
allow the Retail Business Unit to manage the new Med Intranet portal, which
consolidated the Unit’s intranet sites in five different languages.
BP East Mediterranean Retail Business Unit covers a region where France, Greece, Turkey, Spain and Portugal are included. There are a lot of marketing and business activities in this region. To manage this work load in a better way, a regional Intranet portal had been launched. Yet, management of the portal was an additional job itself. Employees were having difficulty in creating and publishing content, reducing the portal’s usability. They needed a solution which could help employees to create and publish content quickly by themselves, and increase the use
of the platform.
Medyanet offered the first version of its WCM. The tool was customized with BP logo and colors, creating a familiar environment where employees would feel more comfortable in using. Medyanet planned and successfully executed the project in a period of two months. A central database integration and reporting have been facilitated. In addition,
all contents in English were entered by Medyanet.
Thanks to Medyanet, today the MedNet Intranet portal is serving BP’s needs better.
It provides rich and up to date information to BP staff in five different countries, increases communication and networking among departments and employees, maintains a consistent design and look and reduces time
to publish and total cost of ownership.
