The online marketing campaign Castrol GTX Magnatec, jointly organized by Castrol
Turkey and Otomax between the dates July 21–August 31, has allowed an e-mail
database of 4000 addresses to be established and the number of web visitors to
increase three-fold.
The purposes of the campaign were to introduce the campaign by e-mailing to
Otomax members, to introduce Castrol GTX Magnatec to car owners and lovers, to
draw visitors to the castrol.com.tr web site and direct these visitors towards
the campaign through the banner on the site, and to create and e-mail database
for future campaigns.
A prize quiz aimed to measure the efficiency of the information transferred
through the web has been realised on the interactive environment. Visitor
profile information and consumption habits data has been collected in the
campaign evaluation stage. The web based Castrol GTX Magnatec Campaign, which
has directly addressed the consumers, has been the proof of the fact that
Internet ensures the fastest returns and should be the first tool to be
preferred for integrated marketing activities.
